Osmo’s Story

Osmo Vänskä was born in Sääminki, Finland to parents ???. Osmo discovered his passion for music at a young age, studying the clarinet.

Osmo’s clarinet studies led him to [MILITARY BAND] (pictured below) followed by positions in the Turku Philharmonic (1971-76) and the Helsinki Philharmonic, where he served as Principal Clarinetist from 1977-1982.
